Following a morning visit to the University of Johannesburg, Meghan Markle arrived at Action Aid, an international charity that works with woman and girls around the world.
Having worn a £96 trench dress by Banana Republic on Tuesday morning, the 38-year-old changed into an ethically sourced khaki shirt dress for her second engagement of the day.
The tailored garment was made by Room 502, an American brand that describes itself as a “Holistic Luxury Brand”, which uses ethically sourced materials, production and labour.
Meghan wore the ‘Model 2 - Stephanie’ dress that is available to purchase for £371. The dress is made out of 100% cotton and features a built-in waistband belt and practical front pockets.
Although Meghan’s utility inspired dress had a minimal silhouette, the royal gave the look a statement finish with a pair of dramatic earrings.
The brass stud earrings featured woven rope embellishment with copper beads and were made by Pichulik, an ethical accessories brand in Cape Town.
The earrings also held an additional meaning, as the website stated: “The Labyrinth earring represents our hero's journey into our centre to know ourselves intimately so that we may venture out in the world strong, clear and wise.”
