Updated story 1/12: The sell-out white coat worn by Meghan Markle when she announced her engagement to Prince Harry will be available to buy again from February.
The white wrap coat by Canadian brand Line The Label sold out within minutes of the soon-to-be royal wearing it at Monday's photocall. A spokesperson for the company told us that the hugely popular style is currently being re-cut and is expected to land in stores and online from mid-February.
The label's co-founder and president, John Muscat, has already renamed the piece 'the Meghan' in the actress' honour.
Updated story 28/11: The white coat coat worn by Meghan Markle to publicly announce her engagement to Prince Harry has now sold out - although it will be restocked. Created by Canadian brand Line The Label, the piece sparked a huge surge to the company's website forcing it to crash.
The $750 coat consequently sold out "within minutes", but the label's co-founder and president, John Muscat, said the business should be able to meet customer demand.
"We're not a huge company and it's the end of the season so we don't stock a lot of these coats," he told WWD. "They are all handmade."
Muscat added that the coat has been renamed the 'Meghan' in celebration of the soon-to-be royal. He said he "surprised" and "touched" that she chose to wear the brand.
"She's bringing a little bit of Canada with her to London," Muscat said. "She particularly loves this coat. She has it in every colour so that makes a little sense. She wears it like a second skin."

Proving that the 'Meghan effect' is fast growing, the white belted wrap coat by Canadian brand The Line The Label has caused a huge surge of users to its website. Access to the online platform is now limited as a result.
The Line The Label is known for its relaxed outerwear and knitwear, made in luxe fabrics such as cashmere and linen-blend. It's popular among celebrity circles, with fans including Chloe Moretz, Mila Kunis, Kate Hudson and Emma Stone.
Markle wore the chic white coat over a green dress and white Aquazzura shoes which wrapped around her ankles - the latter of which have sold out. The actress accessorised with a pair of 18-karat yellow gold and opal earrings by Canadian brand Birks and priced at £850. Although The Line's website is currently encountering issues with the user flow, you can see other styles by the brand at The Outnet.
It is expected that Markle will have as much, if not more, retail selling power than her soon-to-be sister in law, the Duchess of Cambridge. A sunglasses brand worn by the actress has seen a 1,000 per cent increase in sales since she wore the style at the Invictus Games in September.
