The royal family was out in force last night for the Festival of Remembrance - with Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle impressing with their smart black and navy ensembles.

Arriving at the Royal Albert Hall in London with Prince William, 37, the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, wowed in a form-fitting navy dress, reportedly by Jenny Packham, which featured a boat-neck and velvet belt.

She accessorised with black Jimmy Choo velvet pumps, an Alexander McQueen clutch bag, a pair of pearl and diamond earrings, and a trio of red poppies.

However, it was her ‘Padded Rhinestone Headband’ - costing £17.99 from Zara - which received praise from royal fans online, and has sold out over night. Still want to get your hands on the headband? High street shops River Island and New Look have very similar designs available.

Meanwhile, Meghan, 38, stunned in a bespoke black brocade dress by Erdem - complete with a subtle collar, button and belt detailing, and a flared skirt.

The Duchess of Sussex, who arrived with Prince Harry, 35, accessorised with a pair of ruby earrings by Jessica McCormak, understood to be worth £25,700.

Six-month-old Archie’s mum finished off her look with a navy version of her favourite £490 Aquazzura heels, a small red poppy, and a patent black clutch bag.

Both royal women opted for natural nude make-up - with Kate wearing her hair blow-dried, and Meghan choosing a sleek low bun.

Many royal fans on Twitter suggested that the duchesses had deliberately coordinated their outfits in black and navy hues.

One person wrote: “Catherine is wearing a navy dress with black heels and Meghan is wearing black dress with navy heels! #CambridgeandSussexLove.”

Another commented: “Maybe I am very positive. But I think Kate and Meghan agreed on the clothes.
