Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry upped sticks and moved to Montecito (a community an hour or so from LA), we've seen less and less of their one-year-old son, Archie. It makes sense, given that part of the reason the couple stepped down from their senior roles within the royal family was to give him a more 'normal' life away from the spotlight. However, we were treated to a Christmas card with him on this year – and boy, has Archie grown up!

To that note, it's now also been revealed what Meghan and Harry gifted him for Christmas this year – and it's actually super thoughtful. Very quickly, if you cast your mind back to roughly this time last year, you may remember that the Sussex family's (now defunct) Instagram account shared an adorable photo of Harry holding Archie, who is wearing the sweetest little grey hat, featuring two pom-poms. Said hat was created by a New Zealand knitwear social enterprise, Make Give Live.

According to the New Zealand Herald, this year the couple once again reached out to the company and purchased a casual one hundred hats in Archie's name. How lovely! The organisation's founder, Claire Conza, said of the move, "As Make Give Live operates on a buy one, give one model, this will allow the group to make an extra 200 hats to distribute to families in need next winter through the various charities it supports."

The newspaper also reported that Conza received a personal letter from Meghan and Harry along with their order, which the proud founder referred to as a "wonderful gift for the organisation".

It's believed the letter explained New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, had reached out to the couple after hearing that Conza was trying to get in touch with them to send over a Christmas card. "It said [Prime Minister] Jacinda Ardern had let them know we were trying to get in touch and that Archie continues to wear our beanies as they have one in every size," said Conza.

In fairness, we can totally see why – how cosy does Archie look in his wee hat? We'd be delighted to receive 100 of them tbh. Of course, it's likely that while Meghan and Harry purchased the hats in Archie's name, they'll donate many elsewhere rather than gifting their son each and every one.

Feeling warm and fuzzy yet?
