Martha Stewart, 78, shares secret behind slim legs following Oscars party miniskirt

Martha Stewart is typically well-known for her best-selling cookbooks and television presence. But, the American businesswoman and author recently shared her fitness tips as well.

The 78-year-old attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party in Los Angeles, US, on Sunday night, wearing a black semi-sheer chiffon Giambattista Valli minidress, paired with gold Manolo Blahnik heels and an impressive multi-layered pearl necklace by Jewelmer.

Stewart, who is tall at 5”8 and used to model for the likes of Chanel, later shared images from the party – including shots of her look and endlessly long-legs – on Instagram.

Her hair was styled in a tousled blonde bob, and she wore smoky black eye make-up, to complement the age-defying look.

Stewart fans will know the cookbook author has two verified Instagram accounts: @marthastewart for her brand, and @marthastewart48 for her personal.

It’s on the latter account, to 635,000 followers, that Stewart shared the posts.

“Horseback riding weekly is very good for ones leg’s [sic],” she wrote in the last caption.

Some followers, it seemed, weren’t convinced doing the same would work for them, though.

“I’ve been horseback riding all my life and my legs don’t look like yours,” quipped one user.

“So are genes..” wrote another.

However, the response was largely positive, with comments including, “Ok Martha! Get it girl!”, “You look amazing” and “Stunning, strong, elegant - beautiful”.

This isn’t the first time Stewart has spoken about her fitness regime.

In a 2018 interview with New York Magazine’s The Cut, she revealed her morning routine which involves a 5am wake-up and 6:30am workout with a personal trainer.
