Married at First Sight Australia drama ahead of UK airing as contestants refuse producer's request
Married at First Sight Australia is known and loved for the amount of drama it brings. But some of the season 12 contestants managed to cause issues before a single episode had even aired in Oz.
The popular reality show, which begins airing tonight (March 3) in the UK, requires contestants to hand over control of their Instagram accounts for the duration of filming and while the show is airing.
But according to Daily Mail Australia, some contestants weren't too happy about handing over their passwords, and it may be due to their disappointment over their way their marriages worked out.

Business owner Lauren Hall, 37 is one contestant who got caught up in the drama. She's refused to hand over her social media account details after her marriage quickly ended in disaster.
Her friend told the Daily Mail that Lauren was genuinely looking for love on the show, and didn't want to be a reality TV star. The source said: "She genuinely went on the show hoping to meet someone she wouldn't come across in her usual circles, but she quickly realised the whole thing was a farce. She's not about chasing clout like some of the others.
"And the experts? Don't even get her started—they were just parroting whatever the producers fed them through an earpiece."
Headstrong Lauren is said to have quickly clashed with her groom Eliot Donovan, and production insiders have said he booked his flight home before they even arrived at their honeymoon suite. The source was quoted as saying: "He didn't give her a chance and made it clear he wanted out. By the next morning, it was like, "I'm done," and he walked away without so much as a second thought."
Groom Tim Gromie, 38, is another contestant who is apparently unhappy with the show and not keen to hand over his social media details. The teacher from Melbourne felt he'd been stitched up by the show, with a close friend saying: "Tim felt completely betrayed by the so-called 'experts'."
Fans of the show in Australia have been left unhappy with the way Tim treated his bride Katie Johnstone, after he made a series of nasty comments to her. He's since deleted his social media and is refusing to participate in interviews.
Morena Farina, a 57-year-old DJ and mum of two has also fallen foul of the producer's rules. Because she uses social media to promote her wedding DJ business, she's been posting photos and updates about her life while the show is still airing.
Morena was warned several times by producers not to keep using her business account, but she has continued to post not just DJ-related content, but clues about her post-show personal life too.
Married at First Sight Australia starts tonight and airs Monday to Thursday on E4 at 9pm. Or catch-up on episodes on All4.
