Marks & Spencer's trending duffle coat is the style of the season
Trends may come and go, but it's hard to beat a good old duffle coat on a really chilly day. The fashion pack has been loving the classic style this season, so when Marks & Spencer dropped one of the most chic iterations we've seen in ages, we added it straight to our baskets.
The Textured Duffle Coat, £89, comes in an elegant cream colour with a textured finish and is lined with faux shearling for the cosy factor. It fastens with the traditional wooden toggles many of us remember from our childhoods, but overall looks far more expensive than its price tag.
In fact, with its sleek, minimalist good looks, this high-street hero reminds us of designer duffle coats that will set you back four figures, including AW24 styles by Victoria Beckham and Burberry.
Marks & Spencer's stylish duffle coat comes in sizes 6 to 24, and all are still available at the time of writing. However, it's been marked as 'selling fast' on the M&S website, so we don't expect it to hang about for long.

If you love the coat but are in the market for a shorter style, M&S have one of those too, but it's sold out in a few sizes now.

Leading the duffle coat charge this winter is model Alexa Chung, who recently posted a photo of herself wearing an elegant navy style (admittedly by Dior, not M&S, but we can't all be A-listers). 'Nothing sexier than a duffel coat IMHO,' she wrote, as fashion lovers everywhere headed straight out to buy one.
In terms of how to style a duffle coat, our fashion editor Jodie Dunworth noted in her recent coat trends roundup that the modern way is with smart tailoring and gossamer-thin fabrics. 'Finish with gilded accessories to execute this modern seafaring trend with military precision,' she says. Noted!
