The £25 M&S white trainers with a legion of hyper-enthusiast fans: 'A summer must'
Move fast - we don't imagine they'll hang around for long at this price.
White trainers are a wardrobe staple that marry comfort and style, not to mention can be worn with dresses/trousers/skirts/your attire of choice.
There's no shortage of styles to shop on the high street either, but an affordable M&S pair is going straight in our basket.
These Lace Up Trainers cost just £25 and boast a minimal design that won't clash with anything you already own.
They also come with over 500 five-star reviews from shoppers singing their praises, and are available in classic write or a metallic silver if you want a pop of colour.
The perfect year-round shoe, make sure you snap a pair up before they sell out.
Why we rate it
It's not the first time a pair of M&S trainers have proved popular, in February 2020, the now Princess of Wales stepped out in a similar design with a ribbon detail.
She teamed the lace-ups with wide-leg green trousers and a coordinating jumper during a SportsAid event at the London Stadium in east London, and unsurprisingly they quickly sold out.
Having the royal seal of approval isn't the only reason we're a fan, Yahoo UK contributor Anya Meyerowitz has previously raved about a metallic pair that's similar in a glowing review, describing them as the "ideal spring footwear".
The plain white version is currently available in sizes three to eight - half-sizes included - are 100% vegan, and are designed with M&S' Insolia Flex® technology, which provides extra support for the ball of the foot.
What the reviews say
For such an affordable price, it's no wonder these lace-up trainers come with hundreds of five-star reviews. Here's just a snippet of what some had to say:
"Wore them around the house for a few days just to soften them up, and their first big day out was a 7.5 mile walk around Prague. Really comfy, no blisters or rubbing on any part of my foot. True to size, I’m a 7, the trainers are a 7 and fit perfectly."
"Exactly what I was after; plain white trainers to wear with dresses, shorts and jeans. Great style and fit."
"I was concerned they might be uncomfortable or sweaty after a while, but I wore them loads in Italy and they were really comfortable, walking lots. Dripped coffee all over them and it washed off no problem."
"Great trainers, true to size, hard wearing and comfortable. Really good value for money."
"Fantastic simple yet comfortable and wonderful with trainers or dresses."
"Comfy and trendy, smart or casual, with a dress fab, shorts, lovely, cropped jeans really smart. And wipeable."
