Walkers has released its first ever crisp Easter egg but they are not the only food label to cater for those who prefer savoury snacks this Easter.

Marks & Spencer (M&S) has gone one step further and launched two cheese Easter eggs ahead of Easter Sunday, which falls on 12 April.

The pack of solid miniature cheesy eggs have been made to replicate half a dozen hen’s eggs.

The tasty treats are made from Barber’s Farmhouse Cheddar cheese, while the centre is Red Leicester to resemble orange gooey yolk.

Each egg has been hand dipped into a blue wax for the shell, and packaged in a cardboard egg box.

While the individual Big Cheesy Egg, which is approximately the same size as a goose egg, offers the same flavour but in a bigger version.

The pack of miniature eggs are available to buy in stores now, and cost £8.50.

However, shoppers will have to wait a little longer to buy the larger egg as it will hit stores on 18 March, and will cost just £8.

For shoppers who still want to get their sweet fix can select from a huge array of chocolate eggs from Marks & Spencer.

If you are looking for affordable chocolate eggs for children Seth The Sloth will be a popular choice, while others will be after more decadent designs such as the Fruit and Nut Lattice Egg.
