Mark Wright opens up on his and pregnant wife Michelle Keegan's 'different' New Year's Eve
Mark Wright has opened up on his “different” New Year’s Eve celebrations, just days after he and wife Michelle Keegan revealed that they were expecting their first child together. The former The Only Way Is Essex star and wife Michelle shocked fans when they revealed on Sunday, 29 December that 2025 was “going to be a special one” as they showed off 37 year old Michelle’s blossoming bump.
Following the happy announcement, dad-to-be Mark, 37, has given fans a peek inside their special New Year’s Eve celebrations as they prepare to become a family of three. In a snap shared on his Instagram Stories, the TV personality explained that the occasion was “different” this year.
To celebrate the arrival of 2025, Mark headed to a restaurant where he could be seen tucking into poppadoms topped with a variety of dips. Captioning the snap, he wrote: “NYE done different this year & I love it”.

The post comes just days after the radio DJ shared that he was set to become a dad in 2025. In response to the happy news, fans and famous faces rushed to the comments section to show their support for Mark and his soap star wife.
“Ohh the news is out! Beautiful as ever! Big love to you,” wrote TOWIE’s Chloe Lewis. “It’s magical guys x buzzing for you both!,” commented Olly Murs.
“Whoooooooop!! So happy for you! Congratulations! Xxx,” added Giovannia Fletcher. Meanwhile, Dawn Ward wrote: “Congratulations Im honestly so happy for you both and you’re whole family. You’re going to be amazing parent’s send all our love tou you all.”
After meeting back in 2012, Mark and Michelle tied the knot in 2015 during a lavish ceremony in Bury St Edmonds. For the special day, the duo were joined by guests including James ‘Arg’ Argent, Lydia Bright, Brooke Vincent and Kelvin Fletcher.
More recently the pair have been busy transforming their stunning £3.5 million Essex home. After purchasing the property in 2019, Mark and Michelle renovated the home and kept fans updated along the way before eventually moving in during the summer of 2022.
The sprawling home has an array of enviable features, including a huge outdoor swimming pool, a patio area, balcony, gym, sauna, steam room and stylish interiors throughout. The couple have even created a dedicated home Instagram, which has a whopping 660,000 followers, in which they share snaps and videos of the property.
