How Mark Wright longed to be a dad as he shares close bond with three nephews
Mark Wright has just announced he’s going to be a dad in a joint Instagram post with his wife Michelle Keegan. Taking to Instagram on Sunday night (29 December), Michelle and Mark shared a joint post with their respective followers announcing the news.
The couple wrote: "2025 is going to be a special one for us…” along with a photo of Michelle cradling a baby bump on the beach with Mark looking on. While this will be their first child together, Mark is an uncle of three and has a very close bond with his nephews, Joshua, Dustin and Presley.
Mark is uncle to his sister Jess Wright's two-year-old son Presley, who was born in August 2022. Mark also has two nephews, Joshie and Dustin, who are the sons of Mark’s brother Josh Wright, and his wife Hollie.

Mark often shares snaps of his three young nephews, including a series of adorable pictures this summer of himself and the kids having fun in the pool. Mark captioned the adorable post: "Pool days with the nephews Joshie, Presles & Dusto!! Love em to bits!!"
The TV personality looked every inch the proud uncle as he larked around with the little ones, playfully throwing them up in the air. His brother Josh - who he set up his fitness brand Live Wright with - commented underneath the heartfelt post with some blue heart emojis, whilst Jess penned: 'Love their uncle mark”. One fan also wrote: "What a cute photo Mark, you will make a great Dad".
Mark and Michelle have addressed having children in previous years. Speaking to Women's Health in 2018, Michelle explained that she was too busy for kids at the time but admitted: "I've always been broody. I love kids, and I want four, so hopefully in the near future." When asked about starting a family by The Sun, Mark revealed: "We say we're going to try [for a baby] every year but something comes up with work."
Now, the pair have announced they are expecting with a stunning beach snap from a recent trip to a winter getaway to Palma, Mallorca. Following their news, which has sent fans and friends into a frenzy, many have been looking back at actress Michelle's Instagram to find out whether there were any signs the couple were expanding their family.
From their collection of holiday snaps, Michelle took one on November 10 where she faced away from the camera as she hid her bump - with a snap only showing her back as she walked down a picturesque street. She also captioned pictures of the holiday: "Just a couple of days in our fave place before the Christmas build-up begins," wrote Michelle on Instagram after the trip away, which could have been a babymoon for the couple.
