Margot Robbie takes leaf out of Meghan's book and works a cape on the red carpet
It’s been some time since fans have seen Margot Robbie grace the red carpet (she’s been hard at work on the Barbie set – as I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures), but the Australian-born actor is back doing press for her new film Amsterdam, and her latest look is straight out of the Meghan Markle style playbook.
Robbie, 32, took to the red carpet with her Amsterdam co-stars Rami Malek and Christian Bale in an elegant all-black outfit, but it was the additional flowing cape that replicated one of Meghan’s famous styles.
The Celine floor-length gown features a thigh-high split and a cut -out detail at the torso. Working with stylist Kate Young, Robbie completed the look with a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti silver strappy heels, and Messika jewels. She let her long golden hair flow in a ‘natural’ subtle wave.
Whilst Robbie’s Celine number shows a lot more skin than Meghan’s go-to styles (even now she's stepped back from the Royal Family, Prince Harry’s wife is criticised for just about everything, so why add fuel to the fire by daring to bare her arms), you can’t help but draw similarities between the two.

Meghan has used the caped style as a go-to choice for public appearances on several occasions over the years. The most recent outing was a custom black Stella McCartney caped dress, worn for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday.
The mum-of-two wore a similar dress by the brand in navy at a London concert held in honour of the Queen's 92nd birthday in 2018, and since, the caped dress style has become one of Meghan's go-to outfit choices for public appearances, opting for longer versions for state visits and formal occasions alike.
