MAFS star proudly shares milestone after struggling with health issues and 'feeling awful'
A Married At First Sight star has opened up about her return to the gym following a recent hospital dash where she admitted that she'd "never felt pain like it". Tasha Jay, who appeared on the E4 show in 2023 where she fell in love with Paul Liba, revealed that she is "finally back in the gym" after struggling with her health recently as she shared a positive update.
The TV star recently shared that she'd had to visit hospital due a health scare and worried fans when she shared a snap of herself lying on a hospital bed with her stomach exposed to her Instagram Story back in October.
But on Friday, Tasha, 26, posted a positive update to her 112,000 followers as she shared a snap of dumbbell weights in the gym alongside the caption: "Finally back in the gym after struggling with my health recently. I've felt awful not being in the gym. But it's time to get back on track. Even if my knee is dislocated!"

In October, Tasha shared a picture of herself from a hospital bed and wrote "It’s never ending" before being forced to hit back at pregnancy speculation from fans.
Following the initial snap, she added: "Guys if I was trying to hide a pregnancy do you think I’d post it on my story. You can have ultrasounds for things other than pregnancy don’t wish no baby all up in my womb."
Once home, the TV star explained that the doctors had been able to give her a diagnosis, though she explained that she’d faced a great deal of pain.
She said: “Hey guys thank you all for your sweet messages. I am out of hospital now after doctors found out that i have stomach ulcers I’ve never felt pain like it,” she wrote. “Honestly I’m not 100% but we move couldn’t let the kids down for Halloween tonight so if I turn up at you door asking for a KitKat then sensational times.”
But away from her stomach ulcers and recent dislocated knee, Tasha has also recently opened up about being Type 1 Diabetic. As November is Diabetes Awareness month, Tasha decided it was the right time to open up about her experience.
Sharing a candid clip of herself in tears on the train, Tasha wrote: "As it’s diabetes awareness month I thought I’d share a snippet of the hard times. Some days my body doesn’t want to cooperate with me. My blood sugars won’t stabilise and I feel so sick, so ill and so defeated.
"I often question why it had to be me that has to live with this. Then I thank God that it was me and not my close friends or family. I am a type 1 warrior. It is not easy living with this condition in the slightest, the bad days are awful but the good days are beautiful."
She finished her post by giving hope to others suffering with the chronic disease, adding: "So to all my newly diagnosed T1’s & T2’s, the parents of diabetics, the friends of diabetics and the warriors who have lived with this condition for years just know I am so proud of you and know that you are INCREDIBLE."
The post comes after Tasha recently discussed how Married At First Sight had changed her life as a whole new host of singletons looked for love in the new series.
“Married At First Sight changed my life. I found my person, I have some amazing new best friends, so many incredible opportunities and I have come across some sensational people in my life and I will be forever grateful for that,” she wrote on Instagram in September.
