MAFS fans 'work ou't real reason' Adam stayed with Polly and accuse him of secret fling
Married At First Sight has drawn to a close for another year, and at the time of the reunions being filmed, only two couples had stayed together, Sacha and Ross and Lacey and Nathan. Only four couples made it to the vow renewal ceremony, but fans were left questioning how Polly and Adam even made it that far. Now, fans think they’ve worked out why the couple stayed in the experiment so long, despite their constant clashes.
The relationship was rocky from the start with Adam making it clear Polly ‘wasn’t his type.’ Now, fans suspect Adam stayed in the experiment so long as they think he had his eyes on another bride, Amy Kenyon. Amy, who brutally ditched her groom Luke at the vow renewal, was partnered with Adam during partner swap week and the pair got on like a house on fire.
The two went lingerie shopping, and even shared a bed together and at the time of partner swap week, fans said he'd 'never looked happier' whilst on the show. Fans then sparked the theory that spending time with Amy is what ‘prompted’ Adam to stay, as one penned: “Can't help but think Adam continued to write stay to secretly get closer to Amy, especially as she said she was close friends with him (and Polly) and always in their apartment. Otherwise there was literally no need to stay to the end after constantly voicing his dislike (attraction and friendship) to Polly.”

Since filming wrapped, it’s clear that Adam and Amy have continued their friendship, as they interact, and post on social media together. Just recently, Amy posted a picture of Adam pretending to propose to her by getting down on one knee as they were joined by Holly and Alex to watch the dramatic finale of the show.
After a hugely dramatic final dinner party, where Polly could be heard calling Adam a c**t and throwing red wine over Adam, the two sat down for one final ‘commitment ceremony’ with the experts and the rest of the couples.
Whilst airing their grievances with each other in front of the experts one last time, the two appeared to patch things up, although fans ‘hoped’ it didn’t mean they’d stay friends. “Hope this doesn’t mean Polly will start calling Adam wanting to meet up. Let this go once for all! Don’t even need the friendship!” exclaimed one on X, formerly known as Twitter.
