MAFS' Ella Morgan emotionally shares throwback photos of herself as a child
Married At First Sight star Ella Morgan has shared a series of throwback snaps alongside an emotional post in which she revealed that she was “so proud” of herself as she looked back on how far she’d come. The TV personality, who rose to fame on MAFS back in 2023 where she made history as the first transgender newlywed to appear on the show, opened up about the journey she’s been on to get where she is today.
“Sometimes I inspire myself, like girl you went through all that & kept going (and always did it with a smile) You had to be that person to become this one Being transgender is not just a medical transition or about surgery and the way you look,” Ella, 30, wrote.
“It’s discovering who you are, being brave and strong, living your life authentically, loving yourself inside and out, and spreading that love towards other people and accepting one another, no matter the difference.”

Continuing the post, the Celebs Go Dating star asked for “respect” from other people in a defiant statement. “Some people will never get it, or understand. And that’s fine. All I ask for is respect weather you get it or not. I am simply a girl who was born in the wrong body,” she added.
“My outside now matches how I’ve always felt inside. I didn’t want to become a girl - I AM and have always been a girl #Transgender #selflove #14yearsofElla #Trans #Ella.”
In addition to sharing the moment statement, Ella uploaded a series of photos from throughout her life, including some from her school days and others of what appeared to show her recovering from surgery.
In response to the emotional post, friends of Ella flocked to the comments section to send their support and love. “Keeping shining beautiful girl, thank you for sharing your story with us all,” wrote Lydia Bright. “You are everything and more darling Ella,” added Anna Williamson.
“The most beautiful soul!! Love you so much,” commented Tasha Ghouri. “I’m so proud of you! Keep shining bright like a diamond baby girl,” said fellow MAFS star Jay Howard.
Prior to appearing on MAFS last year, Ella candidly spoke to OK! and other press about her transition journey. “I knew I was a girl from about the age of six but I didn’t know for a fact until I did sex education when I was about 12,” she said.
“Then at 16 I told my mum and dad that I couldn’t bear life anymore and started transitioning from then. I was 20 when I had my surgery. I’ve been fully completed for quite some years now.”
