I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins lands huge BBC gig and starts work on ‘three hours sleep’
I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins has got straight back into work after arriving back in the jungle. The star’s first gig back was alongside her fellow campmate Dean McCullough as she helped him on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show as the pair stood in for Greg James.
However, it wasn’t an easy job for the former Love Island star, as she admitted she was running on just three hours of sleep. The campmate have had busy schedules since leaving the jungle, with Maura and Dean joining GK Barry on stage last night for her Homecoming Saving Grace show at Wembley Arena.
Maura looked stunning as she attended the show, wearing a black satin blazer mini-dress, which she accessorised with a thick gold belt around the waist. She walked in the arena hand in hand with Dean, who dazzled in a silver sequin blazer, which he paired with a white t-shirt and belted black trousers.

Despite trying to keep it on a ‘downlow’ in the camp, Maura confirmed suspicions that the ‘mystery man’ she was dating was in fact TOWIE’s Pete Wicks. Fans witnessed Maura ask about Pete soon after her exit on the coming out show, as she asked her friend if he was still in Strictly Come Dancing.
At the time, Pete and his partner Jowita Przystał were still in the competition, however, were eliminated in the semi-final. The reality show came to an end this week in a nail biting end this Saturday, as Chris McCausland and his dance partner Dianne Buswell took the glitterball home.
Maura and Pete have been seen together since their exit from both their reality shows. Last week, the duo were pictured together at a hotel in London. In the cosy photo, Maura is seen smiling as she holds a glass of wine in the hotel, surrounded by a group of friends. Rumoured beau Pete, 36, can be seen standing behind Maura in the intimate gathering, looking down at the I’m A Celeb star.
In the group picture, Maura’s friend penned in the caption: “Welcome home baby @maurahiggins (We didn’t miss you).”
During her time in the jungle, Maura ‘dished all’ on her first date with the TOWIE star in a conversation with Pete in a conversation with Oti Mabuse. Oti quizzed Maura on her love life as they cryptically seemed to talk about Pete's stint on Strictly and if he would be in Australia to meet Maura.
Speaking about how their friendship turned into something more, Maura told Oti: "He wouldn't give up.” She then dished on their first date antics, admitting: "I actually brought my friends with me and I was like 'See! It is a friendship date.'"
