Sara Davies shares fun kids' bookmarks craft ideaNicky Johnston - Hearst Owned

Sara Davies is the queen of crafting – and she's impressed us with all her brilliant ideas for craft projects for over the summer holidays. Her latest is no exception: we love this sweet idea to make bookmarks for kids.

The Dragons' Den presenter took to her Instagram to show off her latest idea: sweet handmade bookmarks made with pipe cleaners and coloured pens.

She shared a video of herself making her bookmarks, using wooden sticks, pipe cleaners and coloured pens. She decorated the bookmarks with googly eyes.

Alongside the video, Sara wrote: "Are you all busy entertaining the kids with lots of fun crafts this summer? Another super simple idea incoming…

"My boys loved making these because they were quick to do, they could do them completely unsupervised (so they felt really independent) and then they’ve got them all over their books so it’s actually making something with real purpose and use!"

Fans were quick to share how much they loved Sara's idea to make your own bookmarks, with @julie55a commenting "Love this" and @heather_proud commenting "Brill, so simple, you are amazing with easy bits to craft".

If you'd like to make bookmarks like Sara's over the summer holidays, you can use the same pens as hers from her online retailer Crafter's Companion for £7.99.

Sara used a hot glue gun to glue the foam hair onto her bookmark – make sure to do this part yourself, or use PVA glue for a more child-friendly alternative.

This isn't the first time Sara has impressed us with her brilliantly easy ideas for kids. We loved her simple pom pom flowers and fun homemade kinetic sand.

We can't wait to see what Sara makes next!
