Love Island's Harriet Blackmore underwent a major hair makeover pre-entering the villa
Love Island UK season 11 is well underway with episode three airing last night [5 June, 2024]. The star of the show? Well, other than *thee* Joey Essex, fans on social media are invested in 24-year-old Harriet Blackmore. And thanks to TikTok, we now know how
the Brighton dancer achieves her signature bouncy blowout – as her hairstylist puts it.
In a recently shared video, Ellie Lock, a hair extensions specialist reveals that the secret to Harriet's villa look is the Beauty Works 22" Slimline Tape Extensions. And FYI, they aren't cheap... so, you best get saving if you want to make like Harri!
"I had the pleasure of fitting Harriet's hair extensions before she flew off to the villa," Ellie says. The target, as Ellie shares, was to achieve a 'bronde' toned look and for this, the pair used a combination of extension shades; Brond’ombre; Espresso Brown; Mocha melt; St Tropez.
To blend the varying blonde and brunette hues together, Ellie kept some of the darker tones towards the back of Harriet's head and then used the lighter tones towards the front for a face-framed finish. Finally, once the full pack of tapes had been fitted, Ellie cut in some layers to blend Harriet's natural hair with the extensions.
The 'before' chest-length, uneven lengths and 'after' hip-skimming Disney-like locks just goes to show the power of beauty. It's a transformation that we love to see!
