As Love Island: All Stars continues to make waves, last year’s winners, Molly Smith and Tom Clare, are proof that it can lead to true love. They’re currently renovating their first home in Manchester after buying it last summer, just six months after meeting on the show. In an exclusive chat with OK!, Molly, 30, tells us what makes her and Tom, 25, such a strong couple, opens up about fronting a second campaign for Ann Summers – and reveals what she’s hoping to manifest in 2025.

Hi, Molly! It’s been a year since you fell for Tom on All Stars. Can you believe it?

We still have “pinch-me” moments because we can’t believe we went back on Love Island and genuinely found a true connection, where we can be ourselves with each other. He ticks every box in terms of the ways I want to be loved.

What do you bring to the table as a girlfriend?

It works both ways – we both love each other the way the other person wants to be loved. I think I’m very generous and I like to look after him, and that’s how he wants to be loved.

Do you know what each other’s ‘love languages’ are?

Mine are definitely words of affirmation and probably acts of service, which he does without fail. He’ll go and fill my car up with petrol or de-ice it in the morning without me even knowing it. And he brings me cups of coffee. The little things like that mean a lot. I think Tom’s are physical touch and probably acts of service, too. He loves it when I make him an iced tea.

How’s the house renovation coming along?

We’re about 80% finished with the kitchen. It’s been very stop-start because of Christmas and New Year, but we’re getting there. We’ve got a lot of painting to get done in the next week or so. The extension starts next month and it’ll be all go again. We’re going to extend the back of the house, and turn what was a conservatory into more of a room, knocking it through.

You’re a big believer in manifesting. Have you got any concrete goals for 2025?

I do! Tom and I did our vision boards and sorted out New Year’s resolutions together; what we want to manifest, and our goals for the next year, together and separately. For me, I’d love to do some TV shows that are a bit more of a physical challenge. We’re also running a half marathon in April – we’ll try and push it to a full marathon towards the end of the year.

You’re also the face of the Ann Summers’ Valentine’s campaign this year, after your Christmas 2024 campaign. You must be buzzing…

I am. The fact I got to work with them once was a dream come true, and doing it again has just been amazing. I mean, modelling is hard work, but the sets are amazing and the team made it so much fun.

What was the reaction like? And what does Tom think?

Tom is all about empowering women and body confidence, so he’s totally loving it. He came along to the shoot this time, too. I would never let anyone tell me, “I don’t want you to do that,” but that would never happen with Tom.

Love Island: All Stars is back of course. What do you make of this year’s line-up? Your friend Kaz Crossley is in there – did she tell you?

No, she didn’t! But, to be fair, she asked me if I was going on All Stars last year and I said “no”, so it makes sense. I had my suspicions about a few people going in, because I looked on Instagram and saw that some people were in the gym over Christmas, and it’s real dedication to work out over Christmas, so I did wonder.

Do you think she’ll find love?

I would love her to, because she’s the most amazing woman. And I’ll send her some Ann Summers lingerie!

Do you think there’s much potential for a match like yours and Tom’s?

Definitely, there’s always potential. I think the producers know what they’re doing when they put people in. I was shocked to see Marcel [Somerville] and Gabby [Allen] in there, and obviously they’re exes. To see them after all these years was a bit, “Oh, my God!”

The Islanders are a bit older this year, too…

I think it’s good that people are a bit older now. It’s good to have a wider age range, because it gives it a bit of diversity and it shows that people are obviously trying to find their person. They know what they want going in there, so I like it.

What’s your best bit of advice for them?

Really enjoy it and get to know everyone, really open yourself up. For the first few weeks, I tried to chat to as many people as possible. And don’t go in with any expectations because then you can never be disappointed. You can just enjoy the whole experience.
