Love Island All Stars is back, with ten former islanders hoping to find love the second time around. Included in the line-up is Luca Bish, who only recently starred in Love Island in 2022.

Luca coupled up with Gemma Owen, daughter of famous footballer Michael Owen, very early on in the series and they remained together all the way to the final. There were complaints raised by both fans and Women's Aid about Luca's behaviour towards Gemma and other female Islanders including Tasha Ghouri, while he was on the show.

The couple then split up just three months after the final of Love Island, with Gemma releasing a statement on social media first. She said: "To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship.

"It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for us both right now. Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters."

Luca replied with his own statement, where he hinted that he was blindsided by Gemma announcing their split. He said: "Switched my phone back on after taking some time out to clear my head after an emotional afternoon to thousands of messages and news articles about my break up. I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know, sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways."

Neither have since spoken publicly about the split and Luca has said that if Gemma walks in as a bombshell on All Stars, he will leave the show. Luca also added that his mum forced him to watch his series, so he could see how his own behaviour was not always the best.

He said: "I watched it back. I think my mum forced me to. Obviously, there's some great moments and things I'd really laughed about, and obviously not so good."

He conceded he "couldn't disagree" with the negative backlash and admitted: "I learnt lessons. It's the lessons we learn from that make us who we are today.

"I definitely look back and I think 'what a k**b' but that's why I'm coming on again. Luckily I got asked to do it another time and get the second chance to kind of show you guys the more real me."
