ITV Love Island All Stars viewers issue same complaint minutes into new series

Love Island All Stars has returned to TV screens with a second season, but fans are already complaning about the series. The hit reality show began airing on Monday (13 January) on ITV2, with the likes of Gabby Allen, Scott Thomas, India Reynolds, Luca Bish and Curtis Pritchard having headed back into the villa for a second shot at finding love.

Despite fans being excited for the second series of All Stars, many had a complaint about the reality show just moments after it began airing. Taking to social media, viewers complained about some of the Islanders' ages, saying some were too old to be back on the ITV2 dating show.

One person wrote: "is this love island for aunties and uncles ? #loveisland," while another added: "who’s idea was it to bring 40yr old marcel back?? send that pensioner home to his kid #LoveIsland."

A third Love Island fan said: "34 years old and on Love Island is crazy." A fourth commented: "There should be an age limit on Love Island because for what reason are you here at 30+".

The full All Stars line-up consists of Kaz Crossley, Luca Bish, Marcel Sommerville, India Reynolds, Scott Thomas, Olivia Hawkins, Gabby Allen, Curtis Pritchard, Ronnie Vint, Catherine Agbaje, Elma Pazar and Nas Majeed. Maya Jama is back on hosting duties again, after making her Love Island debut last year.

It marks the second series of All Stars, with the first airing in January 2023. Tom Clare and Molly Smith walked away as the winners of the spin-off show, with the couple still going strong one year later.

Tensions are already expected to be high in this year's All Stars as exes Gabby and Marcel come face to face in the villa. The pair coupled up in the third series when Gabby entered the villa as a bombshell.

In the real world, the couple lasted a year before calling it quits amid claims that Marcel cheated on Gabby while on holiday. Marcel married a few years later, but recently divorced before heading back to the villa.

On his return, he admitted: "I thought that I’d completed love and found my happily ever after – but the universe had a different plan. Somehow every time my life’s at a crossroads, I’ve got the opportunity to do Love Island. So I thought, why not?"

Love Island All Stars airs every night on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
