Love Island fans 'expose' Grace Jackson's motives in brutal 'game plan' twist

Love Island viewers reckon they've sussed out Grace Jackson's game plan after a shocking recoupling left one contestant seething.

During Monday's episode, the islanders were taken aback when they received a text announcing an unexpected recoupling. Newcomers Konnor Ewudzi and Matilda Draper, having just arrived at the Spanish love nest, had first pick of who they wanted to pair up with.

Konnor, feeling confident after what he perceived as positive signals the night before, boldly chose to recouple with Grace, who was already paired with Towie star Joey Essex. However, his brave move was met with a chilly reaction from Grace, who seemed surprised by his choice.

In an attempt to clarify her position, Grace later claimed she thought she'd made it clear she was "closed off". Yet both Konnor and viewers felt that Grace had seemed open to getting to know others in the villa.

As the situation took an odd turn, some fans speculated that the new pairing might provide Grace and Joey with a reason to spend more time together in the Hideaway. Others, however, were puzzled by Grace's response to Konnor and suggested that she and Joey should leave, reports the Mirror.

Fans took to Reddit to share their theories in a thread titled 'What is Grace up to?' One viewer speculated: "Maybe they just want a way to sleep in the hideaway every night so they have a private bedroom."

Another viewer commented: "Yeah, Grace is really screwing this up. 'I said I wasn't closed off, but everyone can see that we are actually closed off - I don't want to label it ad closed off, but I may as well be.' Yeah, so you said you're not closed off, knowing full well that you actually are? Fake," they added.

Love Island airs on weeknights at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

A third was clearly irritated: "I really don't understand why Konnor hasn't revealed that Grace strongly hinted that she was open? Surely this has to be exposed. But yeah it is weird behaviour from her. I feel like there was such a negative vibe around Omar last episode- didn't really like how both Joey and Sean said he liked to 'sniff' around as if he's a dog. Gross."

On the flip side, some fans were quick to defend Grace. One supporter argued: "I'm not a big fan of Grace but that conversation with Konnor looked extremely edited and as if she was giving him advice to chat to Uma not her."
