Lizzo worked a tiny Valentino bag at last night’s American Music Awards – and it’s already got its own Twitter fan account.

There was no shortage of stand-out outfits at last night’s AMAs, which took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, but it was the 31-year-old singer’s micro bag that took centre stage.

The white handbag is the size of a dental floss dispenser, and has a long silver handle which allowed Lizzo to clutch it with her fingertips.

She also showed off an eye-catching rhinestone manicure – appropriate given the attention drawn to the bag she was holding. The rest of her outfit consisted of an orange, one-shouldered ruffle dress, large mismatched earrings and strappy white sandals – but it was the bag garnering the most attention.

Talking to media about the bag on the red carpet, Lizzo said, “It’s a Valentino bag, it’s custom, it’s one of only three in the world.”

Asked what she carried in the bag, she joked: “I’ve got tampons in there, a flask of tequila, some condoms.”

It’s caused such a storm that someone created a Twitter fan account for the bag, with the owner speculating about what could possibly be inside it.

Elsewhere on Twitter, users are unsurprisingly going crazy for the novelty accessory.

But what was really in the bag? In an Instagram post on her official account, Lizzo told her 6.5 million followers the bag was “big enough for my f***s to give”.

The micro bag trend first made an appearance on the Jacquemus catwalk earlier this year at Paris Fashion Week. The accessory has since been worn by the likes of Beyoncé.

Then, back in August, Kim Kardashian sported a miniature version of the Hermes Birkin bag.

Yet Lizzo has trumped both of these, with the tiniest bag yet.
