The A-list night we can't get out of our heads
With our social lives being a bit on the quiet side at the moment, we've been reminiscing about our best recent nights out, and one incredible star-studded event we can't stop thinking about is the best of the West End, a glitzy affair hosted by the Alpha Club that we can’t wait to go to again.
Let us set the VIP scene for you: we were collected from the five-star Baglioni Hotel in London's swanky South Kensington, by chauffeur-driven Maseraties and taken to the Royal Albert Hall. Greeted with champagne on arrival, a mouth-watering private dinner was on the menu at the amazing Coda Restaurant. And that's when the fun really began!
Lauren Samuels wowed the audience
As we took to our seats in the buzzing auditorium, the curtain rose and a star-studded cast broke into song to sing some of the most classic, feel-good, heartfelt and downright crowd-pleasing musical numbers – think show tunes from Les Miserables to Dear Evan Hansen, to name a few. The incredible line-up of performers included Mazz Murray, Ramin Karimloo, Alpha Ambassador Lauren Samuels, Marisha Wallace, Layton Williams, X Factor winner Ben Haenow and Matt Croke, who were joined by host for the evening, Ben Forster, and Ambassador of the Arts for Alpha, mezzo-soprano Friederike Krum.

To top it all off, the best was saved for last – the legend that is Ruthie Henshall. The Laurence Olivier Award winning singer and actress was met with deafening applause as she effortlessly belted out song after song. We had tingles! Just when we thought the night had ended, we were whisked off to Clubino at the Baglioni Hotel for round two: a private audience with the stars of stage and screen, all while sipping the finest champagne and eating the most delicious canapes we've ever tasted. Ah, memories…
