Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy pictured going for dinner - as Niall Horan and girlfriend seen nearby
Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy was pictured going for dinner on Friday Night in London's Notting Hill and ended up on the same street as the late singer's bandmate, Niall Horan, was also dining. Eating in Italian restaurant Cacciari's Portobello, Kate - who dated Liam for two years prior to his heartbreaking death last month - bundled up in a cream maxi coat with some light blue jeans and Ugg boots.
While just two minutes down the road, Niall and his girlfriend, Amelia Woolley, headed to Japanese Michelin Guide hotspot Dorian Restaurant for their dinner. Niall donned a navy shacket with a pair of tan trousers, while his girlfriend Amelia was dressed in all-black with a belted mini-dress.
The coincidence comes just weeks after Niall and Kate saw one another at Liam's heartbreaking funeral, which was held St Mary's Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England. Liam tragically passed away at the age of 31 last month after falling from a balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. An investigation into his death has been ongoing.
Niall reunited with his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson for the first time in nine years to say goodbye to their friend. At the funeral, Kate was supported by her friend, actor and director Damian Hurley. Damian, who is the son of model and actress Elizabeth Hurley, is believed to have originally become friends with Kate via social media.
Following Liam’s tragic death in October, Damian posted a tribute to the One Direction star, sharing a photo of the two of them together and writing: “One of the sweetest men I’ve ever met. A devastating loss. Thinking of and sending love to Liam’s family, especially my beautiful friend @katecass,” followed by a black heart emoji. Dressed in a black shirt and black suit, and wearing sunglasses, Damian accompanied Kate to the funeral service.
Kate had been with Liam in Argentina in October, but left the country a few days before he died to return home to Miami. She wrote a tribute to Liam after his tragic death. She said: “Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”
