The Latest Beauty Executive Moves at Oribe, Balmain Hair and Nest New York

Eline de Knoop has replaced Steward Guliker as chief executive officer of Balmain Hair. Guliker, the son of Balmain Hair founder Dick Guliker, will retains his position as board chairman. Before entering her new role, Knoop served as international marketing director at the company for 13 years.
James MacPherson has joined hair care manufacturer Beauty by Imagination as chief financial officer. He most recently held the role at Olaplex and, before that, at Becca Cosmetics and Carol’s Daughter.
Oribe has named Andreea Diaconescu its chief marketing and growth officer. Diaconescu has previously held senior marketing roles at Fresh, Caudalie and The Estée Lauder Cos., and joined Oribe in 2020 as vice president of global marketing.
Pür manufacturer Astral Health & Beauty has tapped The Estée Lauder Cos. alum Joanne Hsieh as its new chief executive officer. Hsieh’s near-term priorities in the role include bolstering Pür’s Ulta Beauty presence and international expansion for brands Butter London and Cosmedix.
Lancer Skincare has appointed Marc Kravets as chief executive officer. Kravets, who previously held senior roles at The Proactiv Company and Murad, aims to expand the brand’s digital presence and channel mix.
Shiseido alum Rhona Jacquand has joined Nest New York as CFO and chief operating officer. The appointment comes at a time of growth for the brand, which has tripled its sales since 2017. Last year, Eurazeo sold its majority stake in Nest to North Castle Partners in a deal that valued the company at $200 million.
Also at Nest New York, Ali Wenté has been named general manager, North America. Wenté most recently served as senior vice president of Coty Luxury U.S. and before that, held sales and general manager roles at The Estée Lauder Cos.’ Origins and Darphin.
Veronica Villarreal, formerly head of marketing at Renée Rouleau Skin Care, has been appointed president of the company. Previously, she held held senior level positions at Entertainment One, SonyBMG and Sony Music.
