Lamborghini Unleash 'Off-Road Supercar' The Huracan Sterrato
Lamborghini have unleashed the Huracan Sterrato, a remarkable off-road capable supercar. California provided the perfect environment to put the Huracan Sterrato in the desert, on-road, and on raceways. The supercar took to the remarkable landscapes of Joshua Tree National Park, hitting dirt tracks in Rally mode and visiting Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. The circuit in the Coachella Valley desert combines a traditional tarmac track with sections of dirt surfaces over a total length of around 4km. The Sterrato's ground clearance is increased by 44mm compared to the Huracan EVO for greater suspension, with wider tracks both front and rear of +30 mm and +34 mm respectively. The aluminium front underbody protection, the reinforced sills, the rear diffuser and the robust wheel arches also protect the car off-road. Distinctive air intakes on the rear supply the engine with clean air when driving on dusty roads. A Rally mode has been programmed for the Sterrato alongside the regular Strada and Sport settings - optimising its performance when off the tarmac. Having explored the Joshua Tree National Park and exploited the Sterrato's capabilities in Chuckwalla, the dirt road covered in the desert's fine sand leads back to exclusive Palm Springs, where the supercar can still turn heads like any Lamborghini. The Sterrato is priced at £232,820. But all Sterratos are believed to now be sold.
