Lady Victoria Hervey slipped into a, erm, interesting dress as she visited The Saatchi Gallery on Monday evening, donning a baked beans can dress.

The aristocrat is no stranger to taking risks when it comes to her wardrobe, however, on this occasion there was method to the madness. The 40-year-old was attending an exhibition by artist Philip Colbert, at the Saatchi Gallery, as part of London’s Frieze Week.

Her glittery bean dress was in fact one of the Scottish artist’s own creations, as he also has his own fashion line called ‘The Rodnik Band’.

The British socialite pulled off the dress the best she could, by keeping her make-up natural and accessorising with a simply black clutch bag – leaving the dress to do all the talking.

Lady Victoria Hervey isn’t the first celebrity to wear one of his pop art inspired designs. He’s acquired quite a celeb following, with everyone from Lady Gaga to Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora wearing his creations.

Believe it or not, the baked beans garment is actually one of Colbert’s more reserved designs. Other wacky dresses available to purchase include a naked woman and urinal.

Colbert describes his designs on his website as, “clothing with a strong sense of fun.”

He continues, “My work walks a humorous line between fashion and art, I like the idea that my clothing is taken off the wall and worn, that each style expresses an artistic idea that is accessible and makes a thoughtful statement.”

However, at £1,995 a pop, his dresses are indeed a very expensive bit of fun.
