Krispy Kreme's Latest Doughnuts Are Topped with Miniature Pop-Tarts
The Krispy Kreme x Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Doughnuts Collection includes treats in a trio of flavors
Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts are collaborating on toaster-less sweets.
The bakery chain is launching the Krispy Kreme x Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Doughnuts Collection: a smattering of new treats inspired by three different toaster pastries.
Starting on Monday, Jan. 6, customers can try Pop-Tarts Frosted Strawberry Doughnut, Pop-Tarts Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Doughnut and Pop-Tarts Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Doughnut. Each doughnut pays homage to an iconic Pop-Tarts flavor.
The Pop-Tarts Frosted Strawberry Doughnut is the only stuffed doughnut in the collection. This treat takes an unglazed doughnut, fills it with strawberry filling and dips it in shortbread icing. Then each doughnut is topped with shortbread cookie pieces, sprinkles, pieces of Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts Bites and a drizzle of strawberry filling.
The Pop-Tarts Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Doughnut tops a cinnamon sugar doughnut with brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese buttercream and a Frosted Cinnamon Roll Pop-Tarts Bites.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Pop-Tarts Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Doughnut. An original glazed doughnut is dipped in chocolate icing and covered with brownie batter-flavored buttercream, Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Pop-Tarts Bites crumbs and white sprinkles.
