Kim Kardashian may seem totally flawless, but even the most perfect of us still have everyday health issues.

And Kim’s vice is psoriasis, as she recently opened up again about living with the skin condition on her website.

Like many with it, the reality star gets red patches on her skin during flare ups, particularly on her right leg.

She described it as her “big flaw”, but also expressed that she feels no need to hide it.

“I don’t even really try to cover it that much anymore,” she wrote on KimKardashianWest.com on Wednesday.

“Sometimes I just feel like it’s my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?”

Kim was diagnosed with the condition in 2010.

It currently has no cure, and its severity varies from person to person. It’s also hereditary - she inherited it from her mum Kris.

She said she’s therefore learning to “accept it”, and manages it by getting cortisone shots and adjusting her diet.

“Everyone with psoriasis has different symptoms; sometimes the rashes are itchy, sometimes they’re flaky,” she says.

“Mine flares up from time to time for different reasons. I’m always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I’m learning to just accept it as part of who I am.”

People with psoriasis have an increased production of skin cells - the result being a build-up of these cells which creates red patches.

It’s a little unsightly, but it isn’t contagious, and GPs can often diagnose it just by taking a look at your skin.
