The cutest children's Valentine's Day 'fits
It’s no secret that kids grow FAST. So, while you may feel comfortable investing in a timeless piece of cashmere or a staple coat for ourselves, it can feel futile to apply the same approach to your little one's wardrobe.
However, there's just something so fun about buying little outfits for mini mes – whether my own children, nieces and nephews, or a friend's kid – that I can't resist adding some adorable new buys to basket.
Plus, there's a balance. As a parent of two, I’ve learnt first-hand that buying quality pieces in unisex shapes means they last longer, can be passed down to siblings, and often retain a fantastic re-sale value on sites such as Vinted. Stick to similar colour palettes and everything becomes mix-and-match and can be chucked in the same wash.
And, thankfully, with Valentine's Day around the corner, there's a new excuse (not that I need one) to indulge. So, whether you’ve got a teeny tiny bundle of joy, a sassy seven-year-old that knows exactly what they want to wear, or a toddler who’s all fingers and thumbs but WILL do it by themselves, these are the children's clothes I've fallen for.
Denim Shirt Dress (2-10yrs)
Boden is a treasure trove of Valentine's-inspired looks for little ones. And when the kids' section looks this good, it has us wondering if we could possibly squeeze ourselves into the biggest size (sadly, the answer is no). Thankfully, there is a family matching section, so you can twin with your mini me.

Despite looking like a smart shirt, this romper means changing will be a doddle, and everything will stay where it's meant to be. For older ones, there's a classic shirt style with a similar all-over heart print.
