Kerry Katona reveals she's 'in the best relationship' weeks after split from fiancé
Kerry Katona didn't have the easiest 2024 and was dealt a blow in November when she split from fiance and partner of six years Ryan Mahoney. However, after a tough few months of heartbreak, the mum-of-five is finally getting her mojo back - and has revealed she's in the 'best relationship of her life'.
Who is that relationship with? Herself. Here, in her weekly column, Kerry tells us how 2025 is a year of self-love and sticking with her own gut, and reveals why she's no longer feeling heartbroken over the ordeal.
Fresh Focus
I’m feeling really good going into 2025 – it’s going to be a great year. I’m not heartbroken any more and feel like I know that Ryan wasn’t the one for me. I’m a single woman and am in the best relationship of my life, which is with myself. I know people do things like Dry January and diets, but I don’t drink much anyway and like to work on myself every day, so I’m not into any of that. I’m just going to take it easy this month.

Family First
As always, I’m feeling very proud of my kids as they all focus on their own projects for 2025. Molly and Lilly are both living in Ireland and are loving it. As much as I miss them, I’m glad they’re doing their own things. Molly graduates college at the end of this year – she’s almost there. Max and Heidi are both at college and enjoying that, while DJ is heading to senior school soon. My kids are all amazing and we are so close. They’ve always got my full support.
Keeping Up With The Prices
I had a wonderful time at Christmas with Katie Price and Harvey – it was so much fun to have them staying at our house. On Christmas Day, we went to my friend’s pub but, other than that, we just played games, wore matching PJs and had a laugh – it was perfect. I was going to have a big New Year’s Eve party with Junior, Princess and Katie but she and I were so exhausted after our panto run, we couldn’t face a party. Instead, I spent it at home with Lilly, Max, Heidi and DJ.
It's Behind Me!
I’ve finally finished my run in Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court, which was amazing but exhausting. I loved doing the show so much and I’ve got a hint of the panto blues now, but I’m also glad that it’s over. It was really tiring and some days we were doing three shows, which is a lot, while dealing with the kids, Christmas prep and splitting up with Ryan. I definitely need a holiday soon to relax after all that.
Baby News
I want to say a massive congratulations to Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan, who are expecting their first baby this year. I’m so happy for them – they seem like a lovely couple. I’ve met Mark a few times, but we don’t know each other properly.
Many people have been asking them about having kids over the years, but I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business if or when people choose to have children. It’s about what’s right for them – and if that’s now, then great. I think as a society we put too much pressure on people.
