Kerry Katona has had a change of heart about the influence of Love Island stars on body image. With the second series of Love Island All Stars taking over TV every night, Kerry admitted that watching All Stars has shifted her perspective. While she previously felt the show promoted unrealistic beauty standards, Kerry now believes the islanders are inspiring. “They do have fabulous bodies," she said, "But they clearly work hard for them and are setting a positive example of keeping fit. It’s inspiring actually."

Elsewhere in her column, Kerry shared a fun-filled weekend with her best pal Katie Price, paid tribute to the late Linda Nolan, and sent her love to those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

SETTING A GOOD EXAMPLE

I was on GB News last week being interviewed by Eamonn Holmes – or as I like to call him, my fourth husband! I love Eamonn, he’s such a good friend. We were talking about reality shows and whether they’re damaging to the younger generation.

In my opinion, it’s not reality shows that are damaging, it’s social media. Filters and editing are not only making girls feel like they have to look a certain way, but also making boys have unrealistic expectations of what a woman should look like. I used to think Love Island set unrealistic beauty standards but I’ve been watching All Stars this week and it’s changed my opinion. I think they all look amazing and are fit and healthy. They do have fabulous bodies, but they clearly work hard for them and are setting a positive example of keeping fit. It’s inspiring actually.

SLUMBER PARTY

I’ve just been getting back into a routine over the last few weeks and working a lot. The kids are back to school and it feels like normality has resumed.

Katie Price stayed at my house at the weekend which was really nice because, although we’ve been spending a lot of time together, we’ve mostly been working. So we had a really chilled time and it was exactly what I needed. We visited my mum, who was really happy to see Katie. They bonded because Katie’s mum has a similar illness so Katie understands.

We watched movies, cracked open a bottle of bubbles, tried on each other’s clothes and had a laugh. It was like we were two teenagers again.

A FOND FAREWELL

I was so sad to hear about the death of Linda Nolan – my thoughts are with her family. She fought an amazing fight right until the end and was a wonderful person.

We weren’t close but I did meet her quite a few times over the years and she was always so lovely and genuine.

It’s so sad. I’ve been friends with her sister, Coleen, for years, who I texted after hearing the news. It’s a horrible thing for a sibling to go through and I’m sending my love to the whole family. Rest in peace, Linda.

WINNING TRAITS

I’m obsessed with The Traitors – I love it so much. Minah is my favourite. I think she’s fantastic and is going to win. Linda was funny but too obvious as a traitor – she needed to be more calculating.

I always want the traitors to win because they work so hard to stay hidden, I think they deserve it. Harry, who won last year, was amazing and I think Minah could do something similar this time around. I really like Claudia Winkleman as the host too. I like it when TV hosts take time to get to know the contestants and are genuine.

PRAYING FOR LA

My heart is breaking for everyone in Los Angeles with the wildfires going on – it’s awful. It must be so devastating for everyone over there.

I’ve read comments from people saying they don’t have any sympathy for celebrities, which is a pretty heartless attitude. They are real people and they’ve also lost their houses and personal belongings.

I think it’s terrible for everyone. Whether you’re famous or not, I’m sending my love.
