Peter Andre in sad update as star says he's been left 'very emotional'
Peter Andre is back from Australia after spending some quality time with his parents. Since arriving back in the UK, the Mysterious Girl singer has been busy with more filming but it means he will be home more often. Writing in his weekly column, the 51-year-old singer - who is dad to Theo, Amelia, 10, and eight-month-old Arabella with wife Emily, as well as Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with ex Katie Price - revealed what an emotional time it was recently travelling Down Under. He visited his mother Thea, amid her health battle, after Peter announced she had been diagnosed with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
Elsewhere in the column, Peter has also opened up whether he would do popular TV game show The Traitors, the brilliant news of Princess of Wales' cancer remission and his love for Scotland, while he sends prayers and thoughts to LA...
No Traitor here!
Everybody is talking about The Traitors again! To be honest, I haven’t seen any of the new series yet, but I’m hearing great things. Personally, I don’t think I’d be very good on the show, a lot of my emotions are written across my face, so I’d end up giving it away – I much prefer to watch the drama unfold at home. Although I’d never say never.

Feeling sad
Being with my mum and dad in Australia was incredible, but understandably also very emotional. I went with my brother, Michael, and we got to spend quality time with my sister as well. The hardest bit for me is leaving them. Both Mum and Dad are on the decline, unfortunately, especially my mum.
Every moment was incredible. Thank you to everyone for all the lovely messages I received when I was there. Even though I know it’s part of life, I can assure you it doesn’t make it any easier to deal with. I should be back there very soon for the premier of my upcoming film Jafaican , which will be amazing.
Since I’ve arrived back in the UK, I’ve been kept very busy with The Best Of Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons , which has been incredible so far, although my jet lag and sleep have been terrible, but seeing and hearing everyone singing along at the shows has been fantastic.
Sending prayers to LA
The California wildfires have been catastrophic, and it’s so sad to see people lose their homes and their livelihoods in an instant. We hear about these things and experience them a lot all over the world. Many times I remember the terrible wildfires in Australia, and the images coming out of Hollywood are like a scene from Armageddon , it’s devastating. So many people have stepped in to help and the firefighters are doing an incredible job. Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected.
A royal triumph
It’s brilliant news that the Princess of Wales is in remission from cancer. With Kate and Prince William, the country feels like they are part of their lives, so, like many, I’ve been rooting for them the whole way. I can’t imagine being in a situation where I had to think about the possibility of not being around for my kids. Cancer affects so many people, and, of course, it’s very close to home, having lost a brother to it. But it seems that progress is being made with treatment and cures, so that’s very positive. Speedy recovery to the princess.
My love of Scotland
Happy Burns Night to all the Scottish readers out there! I love Scotland, it’s amazing. I remember when I would go on concert tours in the 1990s, I’d come over from Australia and when I got to Scotland the first thing I would ask for was an Aberdeen Angus steak because it’s famous for being the best, and, of course, synonymous with Scotland. I have a lot of happy memories of Scotland, most of them based around food, though, which is always a bit worrying for the waistline LOL!
