Here's the thing about flared jeans: They do a pretty damn good job of hiding your shoes. So, when Kendrick Lamar took the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show last night, it wasn't easy to deduce exactly what he had on his feet. (Plus, we were having trouble prying our attention away from his denim.)

Well, thanks to the good folks over at Footwear News, we've now got a solid idea of the trainers the Compton rapper wore for his performance of "Not Like Us" in New Orleans. While some outlets have reported that they're Diamond Turf 3s, the more plausible answer—you've got to really focus on the shape of the paneling at the toe—is that he was rocking the Air DT Max '96 in the "Colorado Away" colourway. First released in (you guessed it!) 1996, the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker was made famous by Deion Sanders.

The version Lamar wore was released in September of last year. But if you find yourself yearning to emulate his look from last night and can't splash out on Celine jeans or a custom Martine Rose leather jacket, you can find the sneakers for significantly less than their original price on StockX right now. Will the price creep up as Kendrick fans discover them and start buying? We can't say for sure, but it doesn't seem like an unreasonable prediction. Best to snag them now, while they're still flying a little under the radar. Fortune favours the bold.
