Part of the appeal of a Katie Holmes-fit is that, on some level, it’s relatable. Her everyday looks consist of wearable staples most of us probably already own, but it’s how she combines them that gets the internet talking. Her outfits can range from casual to chaotic—this week’s, though, was a little of both.

Holmes was spotted wearing the chunkiest, frumpiest turtleneck sweater, a short peacoat, easy wide-leg jeans, a black beanie, a slouchy suede bag, and a pair of ballet flats with an oversized bow at the toe. The combination was a little confusing, but each item is one I know I’ll be reaching for this season—and right now, it’s those holiday-perfect shoes.

Holmes’s bow-adorned flats can make any ordinary outfit instantly more festive, and they’re actually something you’ll wear beyond just the holiday season (sorry sequined dresses). Below, shop nine shoes inspired by her style—including lookalike flats, loafers, and even a few pumps—starting at $47.

Zigi Bibiana Flat

While a little bit of a splurge, I love Zigi’s Bibiana flats, which are crafted from real leather. The pointed-toe silhouette and black leather are quite elegant, while the voluminous bow adds a sweet touch. There’s a nice balance between classic and cute here, which makes the style really versatile.

Chinese Laundry takes the Holmes-approved flat and adds a winter flare, pairing the bow-adorned style with a burgundy velvet—though you can also grab it in black, red, and silver. Plus, they’re on sale for just $52.

Bandolino Lindio Loafer

I personally like ballet flats, but I am aware that they’re not known for their comfort, which is why I included Bandolino’s Lindio loafer. This shoe has that same big bow at its toe, but shoppers rave that these are actually quite supportive. One shopper, who is on their feet for up to eight hours a day, wore these to work and called the shoes “great” and “comfortable.”

Larroudé Mini Elle Pump

While a flat or loafer is great for making everyday styles more festive, a bow-adorned pump is what you’ll want to reach for when dressing up. Larroudé—the brand InStyle editors and celebrities like Demi Moore love—makes one of my favorite styles. It’s sleek, sexy, and a little cute, featuring a skinny heel, pointed toe, shiny finish, and an oversized, hand-knotted bow. While you can grab this in a classic black, I’m loving this emerald green and the merlot-colored velvet for the holiday season.

Wrapping your favorite shoe in a bow is the easiest way to make any outfit feel a little more holiday-ready, yes, even Katie Holmes’s everyday jeans and chunky sweater. Below, shop even more styles inspired by her footwear.
