Karen Hauer's ex on 'incredibly sad' split saying Strictly 'ruined marriage'
Karen Hauer's ex-husband spoke out over the couple’s split last year, as he claimed Strictly Come Dancing ‘ruined’ their marriage. Karen, who is the dance show’s longest-serving professional dancer, and her husband Jordan Wyn-Jones reportedly parted ways in October 2023, after they tied the knot during a lavish ceremony at Chewton Glen in Hampshire in 2022.
Rumours of a split between Karen and her husband Jordan emerged as she was seen attending the Pride of Britain Awards without her wedding ring. A source then claimed to The Mirror that the couple had been having a “tough time” over the past few months and “decided to split”.
In an interview following their split, Jordan told The Mail on Sunday that while he will always “admire” Karen's dancing career, it “took her away” from him and their careers weren’t “right for each other”. He said: “It’s a bit of a love story, a sad story. I’m incredibly sad not to be in Karen’s life, and not on this journey with her but we’re not right for each other in terms of her career. I will always admire her for her career but it took her away from me a lot. She’d be away and I’d be at home on my own.”

Jordan also said that he previously expressed his desire to have children and was confused when he read in a magazine that Karen had said kids were not in her future.
He added: “You do say things like, ‘I want to have kids’. And she’d mentioned to me that she wanted to have kids with me. But in the interview, Karen said ‘kids aren’t in the future’ – which made me sad. I’d always wanted to be a father.” OK! contacted Karen's representatives for comment.
Prior to tying the knot with Jordan, Karen had been married twice before, first to former dance partner, Matthew Hauer, whom she split from in 2009. She was then married to former Strictly professional Kevin Clifton from 2015 to 2018.
In January this year, Karen went Instagram official with her new love, rugby player boyfriend Simon Davidson, a long-term friend of Strictly pro Gorka Marquez.
