Granted, it might not be what you expect as you make your way around the long and winding drive, but if you can ignore for a minute the overhead Heathrow landing path, once through the towering, minimalist glass entrance you’re in a another world.

With noteworthy facilities, Kallima Spa enjoys as an extensive pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The perfect finishing touch, there’s also a gorgeous duvet-enclosed snug and of course numerous treatment rooms.

A spoiling treat, our tester reported back that ‘This was the perfect way to unwind after a hectic few weeks in the office. Getting out of central London made all the difference and definitely helped to set my day off to a relaxing start. Best of all, there were so many great treatments on offer that it was a real added plus that I could split my appointment time to incorporate both a facial and nail treatment.’
