Julia Fox's David Bowie does Miami Vice look is red carpet gold
Julia Fox isn't one to fall into a fashion rut. The actress, mother (in every sense of that word), best-selling author, former Cosmopolitan UK cover star, and all-around it girl is known for her radical outfit transformations.
Like, seriously, this girl knows how to keep us on our toes. The diva can make a look out of just about anything, whether it's chain link fencing made into a top, rocking a dress made entirely out of hair, or a metal birdcage worn on the red carpet, she's living embodiment of the idea that it's not what you wear, it's how you wear it. And the Julia Fox way of wearing things is with pleeeeeenty of attitude and a supermodel pout.
By this point, we thought we were kind of ready for whatever outré outfit Julia Fox could throw at us. However, we were wrong.
In her latest red carpet outing, to the premiere of her new, Steven Soderbergh-directed film Presence, Julia brought a dramatic vibe shift. Not only did she sport a freshly chopped bixie cut (that's a hairdo that's somewhere between a bob and a pixie, FYI), she rocked a truly iconic suit.
Specifically, she was wearing a zoot suit featuring a long black overcoat with skinny lapels and a pair of high-waisted baggy trousers. Underneath the suit, she rocked a yellow shirt with a bright floral pattern which was worn over a white tee. Accessories-wise, she sported a gold necklace and a pair of chunky, brown platform shoes.
Online, fans have been remarking that Julia resembles none other than the late, great musician David Bowie in this fit. Personally, we can't get over the genius patterned shirt (which is giving hints of Miami Vice) and suit combo — truly a look for the ages.
Yep, further proof that no one is doing it like Julia.
