Josie Gibson heads on boozy girls trip after Stephen Mulhern addresses 'relationship'
Josie Gibson is on a boozy weekend away with her friends after romance rumours continue to circulate about her and Stephen Mulhern.
The 39-year-old This Morning presenter updated her fans on Instagram that she's heading on a "girls trip" to Westport, Co Mayo, Ireland.
Once she got there the mum posed with an espresso martini in her hand, before moving onto a pint of Guinness.
Posting a picture of the three friends enjoying a pint of Guinness, Josie captioned it: "What a welcome!!! Thank you @castlecourt_hotel_westport mountain climbing and a beach horse ride coming up!!! First stop Guinness."
Josie's mini break away comes after Stephen Mulhern broke his silence about their alleged relationship.
The TV stars were photographed holding hands with outside ITV's London television studio back in April, fuelling rumours of a secret romance between the pair.
However, 47-year-old Stephen addressed the rumours when appearing on This Morning on this week.
The Catchphrase host was grilled by Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about his love life, Cat said: "We couldn't let you go without... Josie," and Ben added: "The picture says it all."
The picture of Josie and Stephen backstage at Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway holding hands was then shown. Stephen insisted: "Listen, she didn't show up to rehearsals, I held her hand and I showed her where to stand. That is it!"
Cat and Ben refused to believe his answer, with Stephen sitting open-mouthed. He pleaded: "Why are you doing this to me?!" They then ended the show as Stephen could be heard muttering: "Unbelievable!"
While in an exclusive interview with OK! Josie set the record straight, telling us that while she does 'love' the Catchphrase presenter, they are actually just friends.
When we asked her about the photo she told us: "Stephen? Oh, he’s so lovely. We are really good friends, I really adore him, but there’s no romance in the air
"But he’s so nice. Every bloke that I come in contact with, the press seems to think that I’m having it off with them. People must think I’m a right goer. I’m not like that."
The single mum of one explained that it would take more than just holding hands for her to form an intimate connection.
She added: "To be with somebody or to even kiss somebody, I’ve really got to love them. I’ve really got to really be into them.
"I can’t give my energy over when I’m not completely into it. You know when you get that magic connection?
"For me it only comes around like once every seven years or eight years. I love the love because those are very, very special [moments] when you find them."
