Joor Unveils ‘Joor Discover’ to Simplify Wholesale Matchmaking in the Fashion Industry

Joor, the wholesale management ecosystem for the fashion apparel industry, sees nearly $20 billion in transactions processed annually while having more than 14,000 brands and 650,000 curated fashion buyers across 150 countries connected on the site.

It’s a big platform. And to make it easier for brands to find the right wholesale partners, Joor has rolled out a new feature: Joor Discover.

“In the fast-paced world of fashion, finding the right wholesale partners can make the difference between success and stagnation,” Joor said in a statement, adding that it is “addressing this challenge with the launch of Joor Discover. This ground-breaking new solution simplifies the process for fashion brands to successfully build new retail partnerships and drive repeat business by leveraging Joor’s exclusive data and global network of vetted retailers.”

Joor said for fashion brands, finding and connecting with “well-suited partners” is often the biggest hurdle to business expansion. The company said time-stretched retail buyers “are similarly struggling to effectively identify the best brands for their specific consumers and trend-led assortment needs.”

Joor Discover eliminates the time-consuming work of researching new suppliers and trying to identify contacts via Google or Instagram. That process is frustrating and often yields few responses.

The company described Joor Discover as “a data-driven professional wholesale matchmaking service for global fashion brands and retailers. Joor Discover solves the ongoing challenge of brands finding, connecting and building lasting relationships with wholesale partners accurately matched to successfully drive sales growth.”

Kristin Savilia, chief executive officer of Joor, said Joor Discover “empowers brands and retailers to forge long-lasting partnerships, driving repeat business and growth by simplifying the often overwhelming process of finding and connecting with the right partners.”

“Brands today struggle to connect with relevant retailers to expand distribution, while retailers are inundated with outreach from brands that don’t always meet their needs,” the CEO said. “Joor Discover is uniquely positioned to solve this by leveraging our proprietary retailer data and one-of-a-kind global network to intelligently match brands and retailers based on their specific criteria.”

Joor said according to its latest industry survey, about 66 percent of retail buyers said they’re looking for new brands all year round, “underlining the fashion sector’s desire and need for Joor Discover.”

By using the platform, Joor said brands can search and filter the company’s exclusive retailer directory “to find the right prospects before reaching out via a buyer-approved template. These highly visual outreach messages provide buyers with all the information they need to accurately and efficiently assess whether the brand is right for their evolving merchandise mix.”

Joor said embedded functionality monitors the engagement and responses “so prospects quickly convert to connections and then to clients.”

The company also said Joor Discover helps brands tap into the fast-growing global independent retail sector. “Over the past five years, the percentage of total wholesale transaction volume on Joor attributed to independent retailers increased significantly from 47 percent to 59 percent.”

Joor said the new feature “empowers brands to capitalize on this industry shift by providing unparalleled access to an extensive network of authenticated retailers across 150 countries” and noted that Joor Discover makes prospecting “like fishing in a carefully curated and stocked pond rather than fishing in the vast ocean, eliminating the guesswork and risk associated with finding new partners.”

Joor said brands on the platform experience a nine-times higher success rate in acquiring new retailer clients compared to traditional methods, “with 78 percent of new clients ordering again and placing on average over five orders within the first year.”

The company said through beta testing Joor Discover, “one fashion brand recorded 55 new retailer connections and seven new orders in its first four months trialing the new functionality.”
