While you were sleeping, a handful of your favourite celebrities flocked to the 2021 American Music Awards (AKA, the AMAs) red carpet overnight, serving some serious fashion in the process. And one of the most noteworthy looks from the night came from JoJo Siwa, with the star debuting a dramatic makeover for the occasion.

Overnight, the 18-year-old swapped her signature bow and colourful wardrobe for a pared-back, elegant black evening dress. The off-the-shoulder design was coupled with a sheer, tiered tulle skirt and a pair of glitzy heels.

"I’m in a dress and heels for the first time in my life!" the dancer told People on the red carpet (not including the outfits she’s worn on Dancing With the Stars, of course). "When I knew I was coming to the AMAs, I was like, ‘uh oh, what am I going to wear?'"

"I've kind of had this transition while being on DWTS," JoJo continued. "I've gone from dressing like how I normally dress to looking more adult, and I was like, 'I want to branch out of my comfort zone.'"

JoJo went on to share her look on Instagram with the caption "My first @amas" and fans were quick to take to the comment section to share their love of the outfit.

"OH MY GOD! STUNNING" wrote one. "WOW WOW WOW ❤️❤️❤️" added another, while a third commented, "LOVE THIS LOOK ON YOU!"

Safe to say, JoJo absolutely nailed this red carpet and we can't wait to see what she wears next.
