Join Men’s Health For An Exclusive Workout Class Jab Boxing Club

Fancy working on your speed and explosiveness while also learning how to throw a proper punch? Then you’re in luck, because Men’s Health and Women’s Health have teamed up with Lindahls to host a series of classes at JAB Boxing Club in Mayfair, London.

Founded by former boxing champ and England team captain George Veness (who’ll be hosting our boxing workout classes), JAB is part community boxing gym, part functional fitness studio. Run by Veness and his team of coaches, who’ve all worked with real-life fighters, each of JAB’s signature boxing classes is programmed to give you a solid introduction to the fundamentals of the sport.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and broken into 12 rounds of three minutes: six rounds working on footwork and agility (while getting your heart rate up), and six rounds on the punching bag. Gloves and wraps are provided, though if you’ve got your own, bring them along.

If your focus is on strength and conditioning, there are also 50-minute functional fitness sessions. These are fast-paced, high-impact workouts designed to push your performance, modelled on the training boxers go through to get ring-ready. We’ll be working upper body and abs. No kit is required for these classes – just come as you are.

We’re running two of each type of class this March. All sessions are open to everyone, regardless of fitness level. Whether you’re a complete boxing novice or have some experience, you’ll learn new skills and get a taste of what it feels like to be a fighter.

After class, we’ll refuel with complimentary high-protein refreshments from Lindahls. You'll be able to grab a Lindahls drink or pot (or both!), with an exclusive topping station.
