I live in this cosy John Lewis loungewear set that's only £22
The comfy set is my favourite WFH outfit and is a bargain.
As someone who works almost entirely remotely, I spend a lot of time at home. My work-from-home uniform usually consists of comfy tracksuit bottoms and a cosy jumper. Very chic, I know - though, to be honest, I'm reluctant to spend much on clothes that, let's face it, only I will ever see. However, last year I stumbled across an affordable loungewear set from John Lewis that cost just £22. I added the set to my basket, hoping it would make me feel more put together while working from home.
Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with how comfortable the cut was and how soft the fabric felt. A year on, I’m now considering buying a second set, as I wear it almost every week and have nothing but good things to say if you're looking for a budget-friendly matching set.
Zara Jersey Pyjama Set: Quick Overview
🛍️ Product reviewed: Zara Jersey Lounge Set
⏰ Tested for: One year
⭐ Rating: 5/5
💸 Reasons to buy: It's super soft and cosy, but you still feel put together
✋ Reasons to avoid: The trousers are slightly see-through, so you may want to avoid going outside without a long cardigan or coat.
Colour options: 4 | Sizes: 8 - 20
Comfy and cosy, this lounge set is just what you need in your winter wardrobe. Not to mention, it's an absolute bargain.
💸 Reasons to buy
The two-piece set consists of a long-sleeve top and trousers, which have a thick, elasticated waistband and small pockets on either side.
Made from a super soft and lightweight jersey, it's cosy and warm without making you feel too hot and the long-sleeved top has a relaxed and flattering fit.
Together it looks like a smart co-ord, so when I have a Zoom call, I don't need to make a quick change into a more professional top.
I opted for the black version, which is sadly isn't available at the moment, but you can still shop it across all sizes (eight -20) in the choice of four colours: navy, brown, khaki and light grey.
Best of all, it washes well, doesn't bobble and is quick to dry, meaning you can wash it and be wearing it again in less than 36 hours. Trust me, I've tested it.
With a holiday coming up, I also plan to wear it on the plane - it's the perfect compromise between pyjamas and a smart casual look.
✋ Reasons to avoid
As much as I love it, it would be remiss of me not to mention that the trousers are a tad see-through.
This is no bother while working from home, but you would need to wear a long cardigan if you plan to go outside in it.

If you're after something a little smarter, I also have the John Lewis Three Piece Loungewear Set. A flattering design featuring a vest top, longline cardigan, and joggers with an adjustable waistband.
I love that you can mix and match the versatile pieces with existing items in your wardrobe, making it excellent value and ensuring it pays for itself quickly in cost per wear. I’ll often throw on a hoodie with the vest and joggers when it’s a bit chilly, or pair the longline cardigan with leggings and a T-shirt.
It comes in three colours: navy, oatmeal, and chocolate, as well as four universal sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large. I wear a medium and am a size 12 with a larger bust, and it's the perfect blend of fitting comfortably without being too baggy, so I’d recommend ordering your regular size.
