John Leguizamo explains why he turned down Mr. & Mrs. Smith
In an interview with Business Insider, Leguizamo revealed he declined an offer to play supporting character Eddie in the 2005 action comedy for financial reasons. Mr. & Mrs. Smith starred Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as married assassins who are assigned to kill each other, while Eddie is Pitt's on-screen best friend and co-worker. During the interview, Leguizamo also revealed he turned down Stanley Tucci's role in The Devil Wears Prada and Robin Williams' voice roles in the 2006 animated musical Happy Feet. Leguizamo has been the voice of Sid the Sloth since 2002.
