Joanna and Chip Gaines really are the best home flippers around-and now they've proven their skills with homes on both land and water.

On this week's episode of HGTV's Fixer Upper, Joanna and Chip Gaines remodeled a Waco houseboat for Brett Swartz, a father of four, and the renovation was seriously amazing. With just $58,000, they completely transformed the 1970s residence, which Chip nicknamed "The Double Decker," according to HGTV.

Originally, the dilapidated $27,000 structure lacked any kind of aesthetic appeal, and Chip wasn't even sure if it would stay afloat after everything was said and done (spoiler alert: the houseboat floated in the end).

The houseboat may have looked like a lost cause, but it really just needed some TLC from the husband-and-wife team. On the exterior, Joanna gave the home a contemporary update by adding black siding and wood trim and planters. "Chip and Joanna really captured just the simple, subtle, modern design that I wanted," Brett told HGTV. "I didn't want anything flashy. I didn't want anything shiny. I just wanted it simple and I feel like they really got it perfect."

The interior renovations, which included updates to the living room, bathroom, kitchen, and upstairs bedrooms including a bunk room for the kids and a master bedroom for Brett, were just as remarkable. The new design featured floor-to-ceiling windows to provide wrap-around views, raised ceilings, and lots of white to make it feel bigger.

In the kitchen, even more windows provided a ton of natural white and access to gorgeous views.

And of course, the designer included shiplap, her signature material feature, but in a "skinnylap" style this time.
