JLo wears nearly-naked little black dress with statement bow
We love it when a classic clothing piece is reimagined to fit in with a current trend. Whether it's a 1950s bubble skirt taken up a few inches (thank you, Sabrina Carpenter), or a Victorian tulle gown designed to free the nipple (forever iconic, Florence Pugh), getting creative with fashion is one of our favourite pastimes.
Arguably one of the most timeless items is the LBD (see: little black dress), the origins of which are credited to Coco Chanel in the 1920s, according to fashion historians. Designed
to be long-lasting, accessible, and widely versatile, the latter adjective is one we can definitely get on board with.
Jennifer Lopez is the latest celebrity to debut her own take on the LBD, taking to Instagram to share a series of glam shots on her grid. While posing in front of an art deco-style London cocktail bar, the 55-year-old bared all in a nearly-naked version of the dress.
Complete with thin straps and a wide, plunging V-shaped neckline, the fit featured a statement black bow secured just below the bust. The dress also boasted a short, fitted mini skirt, which showed off JLo's strong, athletic pins.
To accompany the luxurious yet barely-there look, the singer opted for a huge diamond ring, smokey eyes, and a glossy nude lip. Plus, a low messy bun with her honey-blonde bangs styled in a middle parting.
It wasn't just the nearly-naked trend JLo jumped on though, she also channelled major mob wife vibes, too. In one pic, she paired her LBD with a luxe fur coat - perfect for stepping out into the chilly London night.
It's official, we are *obsessed* with this look.
