Jesy Nelson 'set for TV comeback' as she's 'in talks' for Netflix show

Holly Willoughby's upcoming Netflix survival show is set to be the perfect platform for Jesy Nelson's TV return. The former Little Mix star is reportedly in talks to join the adventure series after her hiatus from the spotlight.

Having enjoyed some time travelling, Jesy might now be ready to channel her inner explorer on a professional level.

She's said to be considering a spot on Bear Hunt, the new show by Holly and the legendary Bear Grylls. Swapping the microphone for the wild, Jesy is rumoured to be heading to the lush landscapes of Costa Rica, with cameras rolling as early as next month.

Spilling the beans, a source told The Sun: "Casting agents have approached Jesy to see if she would be interested and have deep pockets to ensure it's worth her time financially. She has a huge fanbase and the reality challenge series would be the perfect comeback for her. Filming takes place for a few weeks so she won't even be away from home and her creature comforts for too long. Jesy will be incredible."

In the high-stakes series, celebs will be put through their paces by none other than survival maestro Bear Grylls, facing daunting tasks and learning how to survive in the great outdoors, reports the Mirror.

Former Little Mix star Jesy took a break from the spotlight to explore the world, as she revealed in a heartfelt post to her fans: "Hey guys! So for a long time I've really wanted to go travelling but never had the time to do it. I've got some really exciting things coming up with work and my music, but until then I'm gonna take the summer off to travel the world. I'm going to be off my social media, I love you all so much and I'll see you when I'm back."

Despite her plans to stay offline, Jesy surprised her followers with a comeback on Instagram this January, posting snaps of her travels with beau Zion Foster. The couple, who had previously parted ways last August after a passionate nine-month romance, have now reignited their love story.

Jesy's solo career had a flying start with her hit single 'Boyz' reaching number four in the UK charts back in 2021.

And it seems Jesy has been living her best life, splurging a cool £150,000 on a swanky Mercedes G Wagon G63 right after acing her driving test. The singer was seen fuelling up her new ride at an Essex petrol station in January before taking it for a joyride.

But that's not all the whispers that are swirling - another is that Jesy is mulling over the idea of creating a documentary to spill the tea on her dramatic exit from the girl group.

Back in December 2020, Jesy shocked fans by suddenly leaving Little Mix, pointing to mental health concerns as the reason. It seems the break from the spotlight has left her eager to share her truth with her followers about why she decided to step back from the band.

A source told The Sun's Bizarre column: "Jesy has had a really rough ride since leaving Little Mix. So much has been said about her and she wants to go on the record and speak directly to her fans about everything that has happened."

The insider continued: "Jesy's solo career has been a difficult road to navigate. Last year she had to put the brakes on her album and now she is preparing to forge a fresh path. This documentary could help her set the record straight and allow people to see what it has been like for her."
