Jennifer Lopez Wore a Green Gown and Floor-Length Floral Cape to the Ellie Saab Couture Show
A soft slay.
Jennifer Lopez has been on a fashion tear as of late. Everyone’s favorite multi-hyphenate hit Paris for Couture Fashion Week this month, starting with a show-stopping look at Schiaparelli. Wearing a coat made of real roses, an opaque take on the tights-as-pants trend, and gold sunglasses that included their own arched brows, Lopez (and her new sleek bob!) stole the show.
Today, January 24, she’s continuing her floral fashion tour, sitting front row at the Ellie Saab Couture runway show and taking the Palais de Tokyo in Paris by storm in a custom creation that will make you long for spring.
The Shotgun Wedding star donned an earthy light green dress with a daringly low neckline for the event. With goddess-like pleating and an ornate belt at the waist, there was already plenty to talk about with this look — but that didn’t stop Lopez from adding an opulent floor-length cape made of lavender flowers and green leaves.
To compliment the soft lines and meticulous draping of her gown, Lopez swept her freshly chopped cut to the side, finishing her hair in gentle waves. She added a trendy green bow to her hair to mirror the shade of her dress and opted for her makeup signatures: glowing, bronzed skin and a glossy nude lip. A subtle smoky eye, ink-black lifted lashes, and brushed-up brows completed her look.
The overall effect is Greek goddess meets A Midsummer Night's Dream — with a J.Lo twist, of course. And considering her recent Golden Globes look, which featured giant rosette sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, and a light pink shade, the This Is Me... Now singer clearly has romance on the brain.
This most recent slew of fashionable appearances is a bit of a departure from the usual high-glam metallics she tends to go for on the red carpet. It's too early to say, but we might be in the midst of a Jennifer Lopez style evolution, and I, for one, can't wait to see what's next.
