Jennifer Lopez walks red carpet solo without Ben Affleck as divorce rumours grow
All eyes were on Jennifer Lopez when she stepped onto the red carpet this week amid swirling rumours that she's split from her husband Ben Affleck. The 54-year-old superstar was all smiles as she struck a pose at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Monday 20 May, dazzling in a monochrome gown that hugged her famous curves.
While whispers of a split have been gaining momentum - with talk that Ben has already moved out of their marital home - JLo seemed unfazed as she walked the red carpet solo. Rumours about their so-called rocky marriage reached a pinnacle last week, with sources claiming the couple were "headed for divorce". A source told InTouch Weekly: "The writing is on the wall - it's over. They're headed for a divorce - and for once, [Ben's] not to blame! They'll never stop loving each other, but she can't control him, and he can't change her. There's no way it could have lasted."
At Monday's premiere of Atlas, the sci-fi thriller starring JLo as Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant but distrustful data analyst, the actress held her own in a strapless top and mermaid-style skirt, accessorising it with a black clutch bag and a sparkling diamond necklace with matching earrings.
Eagle-eyed fans and photographers were quick to spot that the Jenny from the Block singer was still wearing her wedding ring from her July 2022 Las Vegas ceremony to Good Will Hunting star Ben.
Recently, JLo added more fuel to the rumour fire by liking an Instagram post about unhealthy relationships and poor communication, reports The Mirror. The post was a series of slides explaining how "you cannot build a healthy relationship with somebody" who "lacks integrity and emotional safety".
However, despite the swirling rumours, Ben and Jennifer were spotted enjoying a date night over the weekend. The lovebirds were seen exiting the Aero Theatre in Brentwood, Los Angeles, on Sunday after attending a movie event with their kids.
As they drove off, the couple beamed at the paparazzi - and Ben was spotted wearing his wedding ring again, having been seen without it on both Friday and Saturday. Ben and J-Lo were also seen arriving together at BOA Steakhouse in LA. The two walked side-by-side, but didn't hold hands as Jennifer had hers tucked into her pockets.
